Santorini also known as Thira is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago bearing the same name. Tenders drop you on the shores of the caldera, at the foot of the cliffs. There are three ways to reach the towns up the hill. Cable car, donkey ride, or a 45 minute walk trudge uphill. Cable cars run every 15 minutes from 7:30 am – 9:00pm.
