| Istanbul is a megacity and the cultural, economic and financial center of Turkey. This bustling city spans Europe and Asia to include a multitude of diversity. You will see Genoese, Byzantine, Roman, and even Greek architecture that remain visible in Istanbul alongside the Ottoman counterparts. The Old City within walking distance is a great place to wander and you can head back to the famous Spice Market. The Blue Mosque is the key attraction and you may explore Old City's sights and shop from the bazaars. Even as the imperial mosques dominate much of the city's skyline, you will be surprised to find a number of historic churches and synagogues.
